Remembering Mark
Mark impacted more people than we can possibly know about. We created “Remembering Mark” to give everyone who knew Mark, or knew of him, the opportunity to share their thoughts. If you would like to share your thoughts and post them to the site, please let us know.
I grew up down the street from Mark, often playing sports with him and John, or hanging out at the Graham house. Thank you for making this website. I look forward to seeing what events will help raise funds for the foundation. And will help any way I can. My heart will always be with the Graham family.

I just want the Graham family to know that you have done a wonderful job making your son’s life live on even though he is not with us on earth anymore. My boyfriend is in the 256 with John, and even though I had never gotten the chance to meet Mark, John has told me many great stories about him. I wish he was here so that I could thank him for fighting for the freedom of our country the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! John recently gave me 1 of the Mark’s 20-20 stickers, and I just could not wait to put it on my car (especially after John told me the meaning behind the stickers that I had seen on many cars around town. I just want you to know that your family is in my prayers & Mark is a HERO that we will NEVER forget!

Dear Graham Family, I served with the Army in OIF/2006 in and around Bagdad. Your foundation is a truly special way to recognize the sacrifice made by Mark and the other soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country and way of life. God bless America, the men and women of our armed forces and families like yours.
–Mark Garber
Graham family, I am truly grateful for the sacrifice that Mark and his family have undergone so that the freedom, in which my family and I so much respect and love, can continue. We love you with all our heart and we send our prayers to you and to Mark. God bless you!

I was part of the Louisiana Honor Air trip to Washington DC escorting the WWII Veterans to see their Memorials. I had been on two trips with them but this is the first time I have gone that your foundation are providing the caps with MG 20-20 on the back. I appreciate so much your doing this for the veterans in Mark memory. T D Smith told us about Mark and I, as well as everyone onboard, so appreciate what you are doing for Mark and the Veterans. Thank You so much.

This foundation is a loving tribute to Mark and his family for his and your sacrifices. I can’t think of a better way to honor him than by helping other soldiers, and in doing so, helping the soldiers’ families. God Bless You All…

My husband and I first saw Mark’s black and white MG 20-20 a few weeks ago. I just returned from a tour myself and we had no idea that this was such a treasurable memory to him, his wife, family, friends and other soldiers. Thank you so much for honoring his memory even though I did not have the honor of serving with Mark. Thank you & God Bless…

Although I never knew Mark, he still managed to impact my life. I was the loadmaster on the C-17 that brought Mark from Germany to San Antonio. That mission is one I will never be able to forget. I am honored to have been able to bring Mark home so his family could see him and say goodbye. I am very sorry for your loss and wanted to say that his sacrifice will always be remembered.
– Doug Tadevich
I was a Sergeant in Mark’s platoon. He was my driver for a short time. I only had the pleasure of knowing Mark for only a few short months. He was a great Soldier and an even better person who I am honored to have known and to have served with. I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that his spirit lives on through this foundation. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. My prayers are and will always be with your family.

Dear Stephanie (& family) I cannot express the sadness I feel for you and your family at the loss of such a wonderful man. My son & daughter in law were friends of Marks and I know how much they care for you and only speak with love and admiration for the entire family. I am sending this website information to my mailing list and hope it offers good results for you. I commend you and your efforts for the Fisher House, and admire you for having such a wonderful and caring spirit.

It is legions of brave young men & women like Mark Graham who are fighting in Iraq & Afghanastan to insure that all of us Americans can live a life of freedom & safety. These quiet brave young heroes who have not even started to live their own lives yet who willingly put their lives on the line for us. I am not sure of the exact words but Sir Winston Churchill said of the British & American troops serving during World War II & applies today; “never has so much been owed to so few by so many.” Thank you Mark from one grateful American. May perpetual light shine on you in Heaven with God for eternity & may God give his family & friends the strength of bear this unbearable loss.
